BigByte Education is a learning center where educators strive to create an enjoyable, immersive language learning environment for their students. Since their start in 1994, BigByte has been transformed into an education company with 6 schools across Taipei and several international partnerships. They are now looking for more English teachers to join their team of teachers in Taiwan.

About the Position

  • Location: Taipei, Taiwan — Work locations in the city center with easy access to public transportation
  • Class size: Average 12-15 students per class

After, if you choose, they will provide temporary accommodations as you become familiar with your new surroundings. They will also assist with all the onboarding administration, even including help with your search for an apartment if needed. With their orientation, training, and continued support from their head teachers, you will be equipped to start your own journey in your class.
  • Guaranteed full-time (average 20 hours), with weekends off
  • Salary starting from NT$690/hr after 2-month probation (incremental raises depending on qualifications and class sizes)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
  • Passport holder from a native English-speaking country
  • Cleared national police background check (Document required by the Ministry of Education. For more information, please contact the official website.)
Strongly Preferred:
  • TEFL/ TESL/ TESOL/ CELTA certification
  • 1+ years of experience teaching children full-time in a classroom setting
