About this position

  • They enroll their employees in the company's social insurance system (shakai hoken), including subsidized health insurance and pension.
  • They usually pay a full and not pro-rated salary for months with school holidays, such as April, July, December, January & March, while they guarantee at least 65% of the regular salary for August during the long summer vacation. They do not force their employees to take a pay cut in other months to get paid for August. Of course, those that work a full schedule in August get paid a full salary then too.
Joytalk also provides ongoing teacher training with workshops held a number of times throughout the year, including prior to the start of the assignment and reimbursement for work transportation costs. They support their ALTs not only in teaching, but also in all aspects of life in Japan, 24 hours a day, including problems of any size, negotiations, accidents, emergencies, etc.

Requirements

Successful Amity Teachers are energetic and enthusiastic when working with children, are keen observers and quick learners that use the Amity teaching methodology effectively, and who are adaptable and flexible to cultural and workplace expectations in Japan. Minimum qualifications:
  • *BA/BS degree; all majors considered (*Applicants without a BA/BS degree will not be considered.)
  • Speaks English at an idiomatic level
  • Completion of elementary, secondary and university education in English
  • Experience working with children of various ages

Hanoi Academy – English Teacher

Established in 2009, Hanoi Academy is the first K-12 bilingual school in Hanoi. The school is a registered Edexcel examination center and offers its 1000+ students a bilingual education that delivers Vietnam’s national curriculum alongside the British Edexcel curriculum, iGCSEs, and A-levels. Hanoi Academy is in Ciputra, a community just east of Ho Tay-West Lake. At Hanoi Academy, the school’s ethos is to teach and inspire ‘Global Citizens’. About the position

Location: Ciputra — Hanoi, Vietnam Contract length: 2 years Roles and responsibilities:
  • Teaching the subject(s) as assigned by the school and according to the needs of individual students and groups of students.
  • Maintaining and managing the class and students’ order and discipline in accordance with the school regulations.
  • Assessing and recording the students’ progress systematically; preparing, presenting and communicating the reports on the student’s progress, development, attainment and behaviors to parents and affected parties.
  • Contributing to the corporate life as well as the marketing and liaison activities of the school through full and effective participation in school assemblies, meetings and events.
  • Establishing effective and healthy working relationships with colleagues, students and parents; communicating and cooperating with other staff to ensure the best interest of students and the school.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in English Education; Business; Economics; or in relevant fields
  • UK training or experience of working in a British Curriculum school
  • At least 2-years full-time professional teaching experience (iGCSE, A-Level, AS-Level)
  • A genuine interest in promoting and providing quality learning and teaching
  • Strength of academic background, professional experience, interview performance, and references will be considered during the selection process.
