Winners of the Go Overseas awards for Best TEFL Provider and Best in Academic Rigor!
We’re proud to announce that World TESOL Academy has won multiple awards for our courses.
Go Overseas is the leading independent review platform for teacher training courses and related experiences.
Established in 2009, for over a decade they’ve helped thousands of teachers to choose suitable training courses and start teaching English. While there are other platforms, what truly sets Go Overseas apart is that they’re entirely independent – meaning that unlike many other review sites, Go Overseas isn’t owned by any other TESOL/TEFL company. Their main focus is to provide a clear and honest platform for legitimate reviews.
If you’re considering enrolling in a teacher training course or thinking about taking a gap year experience overseas, then Go Overseas will certainly hold some valuable insight for you.
Best TEFL Provider – 2025:
For the third year in a row, we’re extremely proud to have won the Best TEFL Provider award by Go Overseas. It has been a busy and exciting year, and we’ve seen lots of great developments.
As part of our efforts this year, we’ve been through a lengthly process to become a Highfield Qualifications approved center, and have added a new government-regulated Level 5 Diploma in TESOL.
Highfield Qualifications is a government-regulated (Ofqual) accreditation body, and we’ve developed a 200-hour Level 5 teaching program together with them, offering an advanced teaching qualification for teachers who wish to access higher-level teaching positions in more competitive regions.
Best TEFL Provider – 2024:
For the second year in a row we’ve been selected as the Best TEFL Provider by Go Overseas.
Throughout this year we expanded our free online teaching practicum to help students in 11 different countries, we also added a hybrid course option in Spain, added more video content to our courses, and continued sharing expert insight on our teaching blog.
Best TEFL Provider – 2023:
In this year’s Go Overseas awards, World TESOL Academy has been selected as the best online TEFL provider.
Over the past year, we’ve continued to build on our course offerings by increasing our tutoring team, adding a new free 20-hour teaching practicum.
This practicum lets our graduates gain valuable teaching experience with real ESL students, so that they can put their new teaching insight to the test. We’ve also put lots of effort into sharing more useful articles on our teaching blog.
Academic Rigor Award – 2021:
Each year Go Overseas scours all of the verified course providers on their platform to find those worthy of recognition in different areas. The awards are split into categories for the best instruction, value, academic rigor, and support. Within each category, there are first, second, and third place awards available.
We’re very proud to have achieved the 1st place award for Academic Rigor!
This is something that we’re especially pleased with, as over 2021 we’ve worked hard to continually develop our offerings.
These continued efforts have included:
✅ Adding new 60-hour TEYL, 80-hour TEOL, and 70-hour TEAL courses.
✅ Adding more live chat hours per day for our students to talk with real ex-teachers.
✅ Pushing forwards with our policy of dual-accreditation for all of our courses.
We’d like to thank all of our graduates for being a part of this journey and hope that you can share some part of this award with us. As always, we’ll strive to continue providing thorough but affordable teacher training for years to come.

Peace be upon you. I am a teacher and I want to teach English to students in different countries. Will this course pave the way?
Hello Shirin!
We’re sure that you’ll enjoy studying with us. There are many things you can do to start your teaching career overseas. Most schools around the world will require teachers to have a reputable TESOL/TEFL certificate as one of their base requirement, so this would certainly be a good place to start.
If you’d like to start you can use the link here: 120-hour TESOL/TEFL course, or if you have other questions you could talk with a tutor using the chat box.
Is there a certificate given to thr students at the completion of the course??
