Since starting in 1992, i2 has grown to run over 100 branches around China, and currently employs over 600 foreign teachers.

One of the great things about working for i2 is that classes are usually made up of just 4-6 students in the 3-12 year age range. This makes it much easier for teachers, as they don’t need to struggle to be heard over a class full of children, and it also lets them really connect with their students. You’ll actually get to know each learner in your class, and be able to find what they’re interested in, and the techniques that help them to learn best.

i2 also support their teachers throughout the whole process. You’ll get guidance with your visa applications, airport pickup, help with accommodation, and additional training before teaching live classes. With over 600 teachers on staff, they know how to take care of all the little details that make adjusting to life in China that much easier.

Positions include:

• Salary between 15,000 RMB – 25,000RMB p/m (pre-tax) depending on qualifications
• 6,000 RMB flight allowance upon completion of one year contract
• Airport/train station pick up
• Full visa application support

• Medical insurance and paid medical exam every 6 months
• Paid leave for Christmas and all Chinese public holidays
• Up to 3 days paid sick leave with a doctor’s certificate
• 4 days of annual leave after 11 months of full-time employment

Job Duties:

• Teach up to 25 hours per week.
• Guaranteed 2 days off per week.
• Participate in up to 15 hours per week of lesson planning, student activities.
• Provide English lessons to 10-12 students, 3-12 years old students (with the assistance of a local teacher)
• Provide demonstration classes and extracurricular activities as required.
• Provide academic advice and assistance for individual students’ progress in learning English.

Position requirements:

• BA degree or higher
• Native-level speaker
• TEFL or TESOL certificate (or an education degree)
• Clean criminal record
• 1-2 years of English teaching experience with kindergarten or primary school students (preferred)

Immediate start dates available for teachers already in China. Contracts available for teachers outside of China (estimated start dates November 2020).
