Power English – Public School ESL Teacher in Vietnam
Established in 2014, Power English has been working in partnership with multiple public schools in Ho Chi Minh City (Binh Duong included) to provide high-quality English lessons. Our program is designed for students from kindergarten to high school, offering a diverse learning pathway that supports different goals and learning styles—ranging from General English to exam-focused preparation such as IELTS. We have solidified our position as one of the leading English centers for learners of various ages in the city.
Power English is now seeking more enthusiastic and dedicated English teachers.
About the position
- Location: Various districts in HCMC
- Working time: Monday – Friday, daytime (7AM – 5PM).
- Age of students: 6-18
- Level: Primary, Secondary and High school.
- Teaching hours: About 60- 80 hours per month.
Responsibilities:
- Be assigned to teach at public schools
- Evaluate students’ classwork, projects, and assignments
- Collaborate with schoolteachers and Power English staff to meet the course standards
- Participate in school activities and events
Benefits
- Hourly rate (net): 420,000 – 460,000 VND (16 – 18USD)
- Visa, Work permit, and TRC (Temporary Residence Card) support
- Annual salary review based on performance

Requirements
- University/Master’s degree (major in Education/English preferred)
- Teaching certificate (TESOL/CELTA/TEFL or equivalent)
- English proficiency certificate (IELTS 7.5+ or TOEIC 850+ or equivalent)
- A clean criminal record certificate
- Valid Passport
- Other documents: academic transcripts, experience certificates, or name confirmation (upon request)
Qualifications must be legalized and ready for use in Vietnam.
Other requirements:
- Experience in teaching at public schools is a plus
- Ability to utilize a wide array of resources to create engaging learning experiences
- Effective classroom management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
