Borderlink – ALT positions in Japan
Borderlink is currently looking for creative, outgoing, professional, and flexible individuals with a genuine interest in Japan, to work as Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) at Japanese public elementary, junior high, and senior high schools in Japan.
About the position
Location: Kanto Region, Kansai Region, Chubu Region, Tohoku Region, Chugoku Region, Kyushu Region – Japan
Job type: ALT at Japanese public schools
Schedule: Between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday (Working times vary from one city to another.)
ALTs are Assistant Language Teachers that work in public elementary, junior high, and senior high schools across Japan. ALTs come from a wide variety of backgrounds, some with teaching experience, and others just looking to make a difference in the lives of students. While some Japanese language skill is recommended, it is not required.

Requirements
Requirements for overseas applicants (applying from outside of Japan):
- Native speaker of English
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 12 years of education with English being the medium of instruction
- A team player who enjoys working with students of varying ages
Requirements for domestic applicants (applying from within Japan):
- Valid visa that permits work
- Native-level speaker of English
- Bachelor’s Degree 12 years of education with English being the medium of instruction
- A team player who enjoys working with students of varying ages
Desired requirements, but not required:
- Japanese ability
- Teaching experience
- Teaching qualifications (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, licensure, etc.)
