US Vietnam Talent International School (UTS) – Secondary English Teacher

They are now seeking dynamic, experienced, and professionally certified Secondary Teachers to join their international teaching team for the 2026–27 academic year.

About the position

Successful applicants will teach within their International Secondary Program, delivering high-quality instruction aligned with either the Common Core framework or the Oxford International Curriculum, as assigned by the school. Teaching allocations may include a range of English and skills-based Secondary courses, depending on timetable and programme requirements.

  • 1/ UTS Van Lang Complex – Go Vap Campus
  • 2/ UTS Binh Chanh Campus

Position: Secondary Teacher for International Program (Common Core/Oxford)

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45am to 16:45PM.
  • Deliver Secondary Level instruction within the International Program, aligned with the Common Core and/or Oxford International Curriculum, as assigned by the school.
  • Teach a range of Secondary English and skills-based subjects, which may include ESL, IELTS preparation, Global Skills, Global Skills Project, and other programme-aligned courses.
  • Teach up to 30 teaching periods per week, plus 2 fixed ECA or tutorial periods (40 minutes per period).
  • Operational Flexibility: Teachers may be asked to adjust their schedules occasionally to meet the needs of the school community, which includes supporting colleagues by covering classes when necessary.
  • Lesson Planning: Teachers have access to quality resources to support lesson planning and student engagement.
  • Non-Contact time: Free periods for lesson planning ,administrative tasks and covering.
  • Attend annual parent-teacher meetings as scheduled.
  • Collaborate with local teachers to effectively communicate with parents about academic and social matters, including follow-ups on reports and during parent-teacher meetings.
  • Regularly update student progress each quarter in their LMS system.
  • Ensure a purposeful and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Provide regular, constructive feedback on the effectiveness of the curriculum and teaching materials.
  • Attend and participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in a relevant field with a preference for those holding a Bachelor in Secondary Education.
  • Professional Teaching qualification/license/certification as applicable.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Master degree.
  • At least two years of post-qualification teaching experience at Secondary level, gained in a recognized school setting (e.g. international, bilingual, or mainstream Secondary school).
  • Fluent English Speaker (Minimum C1 Fluency).

Experiences, Skills & other requirements:

  • For non-native English speakers: a valid IELTS certificate (minimum overall score 8.0 or above) or an accepted equivalent English proficiency qualification is required at the time of application.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a Secondary classroom effectively and deliver structured, age-appropriate learning.
  • Experience applying 21st-century teaching practices, including differentiated instruction and student-centered learning approaches.
  • Competence in educational technology, including the use of digital tools and interactive presentations.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and parents.
