Kohgakusha – Full-time English Kindergarten Teacher in Tokyo/Kanagawa

Established in 1983, Kohgakusha Co., Ltd. currently operates 70 schools throughout the Kanto region, 9 schools in the Kansai Region, and continue to develop classrooms in various locations across Japan.

They are currently looking for more creative and enthusiastic English teachers for their kids.

About the Position:

Location:The main office is located in Shinyurigaoka, Kanagawa (20min from Shinjuku, Tokyo). Their contracted kindergartens are located in Kanagawa and the Tokyo area.

Contract: One year

Starting period: September to October 2025

Work conditions:

  • Mon-Fri (Saturday & Sunday off)
  • 8 hours/day (ex:9am-5pm, 10am-6pm)
  • A fixed salary is paid monthly
  • Health insurance is provided

Class types:

  • Morning: bigger classes (25~35 students, 10-30mins classes)
  • Afternoon: smaller classes(3~10 students, 50-60mins classes)

Benefits Package:

  • A fixed monthly salary of between JPY245,000 and JPY285,000 (depending on their educational background and assigned duties).
  • Contract completion bonus (dependent on work evaluation).
  • Time Off: Two days a week, Golden Week, National Holidays, Summer Vacation, Winter Vacation, and 10 paid vacation days initially.
  • They encourage teachers to have a better understanding of Japanese language and culture by subsidizing partial tuition fees for Japanese language school.
  • Commuting costs to and from your place of work will be fully reimbursed.
  • Overtime allowance is provided in cases where an employee’s working schedule exceeds their designated schedule.

Since they take care of small children, people who love working with kids and have experience are especially welcome!

*Applicants who do not hold a working visa may be considered for advance recruitment ahead of the spring semester.
