About the position

Location: Nagano prefecture, Japan (Scope of change: All workplaces within and outside Nagano Prefecture, as well as all other areas where dispatched workers are assigned.)

Employment type: Dispatch — Their public education team places Assistant Language Teachers (ALTS) in schools in Nagano and surrounding areas, while their private education team runs language schools, international schools, and corporate training programs.

Scope: Full-time

Duties:

  • Preparing and performing English classes
  • Being a cultural ambassador
  • Team teaching with Japanese teachers
  • Meetings and regular training

*Scope of change: The range of job positions they handle in-house and those handled through dispatch

Working days/Hours:

  • Monday – Friday 8:15 – 16:45
  • Break: 12:45 – 13:30

*working hours may vary.

Benefits

  • Remuneration: 2.5M ~ 3.0M/year. Extra teaching opportunities available for those who wish to expand their teaching experience and they are paid in addition to the annual income listed above.
  • Days off: Saturdays, Sundays, National holidays, School holidays (fully paid summer vacation)
  • Leave: 10 days after continuous employment period. Some days may be available before 6 months.

Requirements

Successful candidate must:

  • Hold a bachelor degree or greater
  • Be able to speak conversational Japanese
  • Be able to legally drive in Japan

Recommended:

  • TESOL/TEFL certificate
  • Experience in teaching in Japan
